The State Could Soon See Less Elections

A bill that would establish five election days annually instead of the current 12 possible days has unanimously passed the House. State Representative Mike Osborn says Senate Bill 652 would relieve overworked poll workers and improve communication about election dates, major reasons for low voter turnout. The measure now returns to the Senate for a vote on the House amendments.
