He’s been recognized by the Associated Press with their Mark Twain Award for excellent spot news coverage along with several Oklahoma Association of Broadcaster Awards for Best Newscast in a Large Market.

David McCollum is an award-winning journalist and professional communicator. He has worked as a major television network news field producer and editor, corporate spokesperson for a major oil company and led an award-winning team of media relations professionals for a major health care system during the exceptionally tying period of the COVID pandemic. He also has worked for NASA, producing that agency’s mission television. In his spare time, he serves as the commander of the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, Oklahoma Wing, with more than 800 volunteers under his command. An accomplished pilot, McCollum has been recognized with numerous awards from state and national organizations. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma

Bob Sands
Afternoon News Anchor
Bob Sands history in broadcast news dates back to the early 1970’s in an old downtown Oklahoma City building that was razed to make room for the Murrah Federal Building.
His career went from there to include work on numerous Oklahoma City radio stations, one in Tulsa and stations in Michigan and Montana.
He was manager of network news for the statewide public television network, OETA for 14 years.
Bob has won numerous state and national awards for his reporting and investigative stories. Most recently for a podcast on ABC by the New York SPJ chapter as the best investigative podcast.
Sands was the chief investigator for NBC News on the Oklahoma City Bombing and has worked as a stringer for Reuters, Associated Press, NBC, ABC radio and CNN.
Sands also taught Broadcast Journalism at the University of Oklahoma as an Assistant Professor for 7 years.
Bob Sands continues his 57 year broadcast news career as afternoon anchorman for the Radio Oklahoma News Network while he co-produces investigative documentaries that have aired on Hulu, ABC 20-20 and HBO.
