Reporters Win access after a lawsuit settlement

An Oklahoma television station is claiming victory after a federal court ordered the State Department of Education, State Superintendent Ryan Walters along with his press secretary Dan Isett to restore access to public meetings and press conferences to KFOR reporters. KFOR journalists were barred from the department’s board meetings because Walters and Isett claimed KFOR was not a legitimate news organization. Walters had no comment following the announcement of the agreement.
