Manufacturing Plant Will Address Lithium-Ion Battery Fire Risks

Business developers have signed a contract with the Chickasha Airport Industrial Park, securing KnightTek’s plan to build a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. The company specializes in producing fire suppression systems tailored to the growing fire risks tied to lithium-ion batteries.

These batteries, widely used in electric vehicles, laptops, e-bikes, and smartphones, pose significant fire hazards when damaged or improperly handled.

Plant Construction Begins in 2026

Construction is expected to begin early next year, bringing jobs and a new economic boost to Chickasha at the manufacturing plant. Once complete, the facility will supply cutting-edge safety technology across multiple industries.
