Attorney General Gentner Drummond is taking over a 3-year-old lawsuit involving the Governor's gaming compacts with smaller Indian tribes.
Drummond said while he and his fellow Republican agree on many issues, he has been critical of the gaming compacts because it is his opinion that they violate state law.
Four tribes sued the state after Stitt made changes to the gaming compacts and the Oklahoma Supreme Court has ruled them invalid twice.
