The Woody Guthrie Folk Festival is underway in Okemah to commemorate the life and music of Woody Guthrie.
The four-day festival has some special events tomorrow in the city park, everything there will be free. Shannon Speer, executive director of the Okemah Chamber of Commerce, provides commentary.
“We are giving away 200 ukuleles, harmonicas, songbooks, tuners, and t-shirts,” Speer said. “Free music lessons and free hot dogs…”
There will be a number of concerts on the stage at the city park tomorrow. Today would have been Woody's 111th birthday.
