Taking a hike along the Cimarron river near Guthrie could produce a surprise.  A game camera recently captured a large Elk along the Cimarron river outside of Guthrie. While there are managed herds of Elk in several locations in Oklahoma, there are still free roaming Elk that are moving due in part to loss of habitat.
