Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Continues Leading Thunder Push
Two-time Kia MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again powered the Oklahoma City Thunder offense during Tuesday’s Game 5 victory.
Despite early turnovers, Gilgeous-Alexander exploded for 32 points while helping OKC regain control of the series.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma City’s interior defense also dramatically improved.
The combination of Chet Holmgren and veteran center Isaiah Hartenstein successfully slowed down Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama, limiting him to just 4-of-15 shooting from the field during Game 5.
According to Thunder franchise playoff history, Oklahoma City has previously won six straight playoff series after taking a 3-2 lead.
Now, the Thunder sit just one win away from returning to the NBA Finals.
