Thunder Continental Coliseum naming deal unveiled

The Thunder Continental Coliseum has been officially announced as the future home of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The team and Continental Resources revealed a 15-year naming rights agreement on March 24, 2026, according to KOCO News.

The new arena will be built in downtown Oklahoma City on the former site of the Cox Convention Center, directly across from Paycom Center.

Thunder Continental Coliseum set for 2028 opening

The Thunder Continental Coliseum is expected to open in late summer 2028 as part of a project estimated between $900 million and $1 billion.

Plans include a fan-focused entrance area known as Thunder Alley, along with space for concerts, family shows, and major events, as detailed by Oklahoma City development plans.

Thunder remain at Paycom Center until completion

The Thunder Continental Coliseum will not host games until the 2028–2029 NBA season.

Until then, the team will continue playing at Paycom Center while construction moves forward.
