The Heartland Flyer's funding is in limbo

Not only would the end of the Heartland Flyer mean 10’s of thousands of new vehicles on I-35 southbound through massive construction projects, but probably cripple talks of expanding the flyer North into Kansas.  Years of effort have already occurred to get the passenger rail service to major Amtrak connections in Kansas. Funding for that would come from federal railway money which now may also be in question.
