Governor Kevin Stitt is vowing to undo the proposed rule to check the immigration status of school students at enrollment. During his weekly news conference, the Governor explained his opposition to the idea saying collecting six-year-old children's immigration status data is not a public safety issue and the test scores are still not where they need to be. Stitt indicated those are some of the reasons he replaced three members of the State School board. He also confirmed his relationship with Superintendent Ryan Walters is no longer good.
