It will cost 311-million dollars between Kansas and Oklahoma state governments to restore passenger rail service to Newton Kansas.  Seen as a major economic driver for rural parts of both states, the project has new life under the Biden administrations infrastructure bill. It’s just not clear if President elect Trump will keep it in place.
