Oklahoma Energy Today is reporting State Representative George Burns of Pollard has joined the opposition to the project.  Southeast Power Corporation wants to generate electricity using water from the Kiamichi River in Pushmataha County.  The problem is, the electricity would be for Texas and not this state.  Burns says the proposed plant would threaten natural resources.  It would also violate the Water Settlement Agreement between the tribes and the state of Oklahoma.
