Oklahoma City tourism officials intentionally release data showing more than 24 million people visited Oklahoma City in 2023, pumping billions of dollars into the economy. Zac Craig, president of Visit Oklahoma City, says one in 20 jobs right now in OKC are directly or indirectly tied to tourism. Tourists spent the most money on food and drinks at 719 million dollars with retail coming in second. Next Tuesday, voters can also decide if they want to increase the hotel tax for the first time in two decades.
