About 10 percent of Norman Regional Hospitals personnel are without a job today after the health care system announced layoffs Monday. The hospital says the reason for the layoffs is rising costs, workforce shortages and declining reimbursement. Roughly 350 people received notices in addition to severance packages and support services. The hospital says the budget cuts also included the closure of some clinics within its system.
