Mark McBride Displeased with Oklahoma’s Politics

Term-limited State House member Mark McBride was one of State School Superintendent Ryan Walters's biggest critics in recent years.  McBride, a Republican, serves as the chair of the House Appropriations and Budget Committee on education but also has spent decades doing mission work in third-world countries like Nicaragua and Africa.

McBride has been critical of Walters's rhetoric about teachers and the problem-plagued teacher retention bonus program which led to the state asking teachers to return thousands of dollars in bonuses.
