ByHeart Infant Formula Recalled Nationwide

Federal officials have issued a nationwide recall of ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula after 20 infants across 13 states were diagnosed with infant botulism linked to the product. The recall includes all sizes and container types.

No Confirmed Oklahoma Cases

The Oklahoma State Department of Health says no cases have been confirmed in the state. However, officials are urging parents to immediately discontinue the use of any ByHeart products.

Serious Health Risk for Infants

Symptoms of infant botulism can include:

  • Constipation

  • Weak cry

  • Poor feeding

  • Lethargy

  • Reduced muscle strength

Health authorities say parents should contact a doctor if symptoms appear.

What Parents Should Do

Officials advise families to stop using the formula, dispose of any remaining product, and contact ByHeart about refunds and replacement instructions. Retailers nationwide are removing affected batches from shelves.
