No Confirmed Oklahoma Cases
The Oklahoma State Department of Health says no cases have been confirmed in the state. However, officials are urging parents to immediately discontinue the use of any ByHeart products.
Serious Health Risk for Infants
Symptoms of infant botulism can include:
Constipation
Weak cry
Poor feeding
Lethargy
Reduced muscle strength
Health authorities say parents should contact a doctor if symptoms appear.
What Parents Should Do
Officials advise families to stop using the formula, dispose of any remaining product, and contact ByHeart about refunds and replacement instructions. Retailers nationwide are removing affected batches from shelves.
