Game Wardens Seek Suspects in Illegal Duck Carcass Dumping
Oklahoma game wardens are asking for help identifying suspects involved in the illegal dumping of duck carcasses in multiple locations.
Officials say two people dumped duck carcasses into a dumpster at a Ponca City Staples store on December 19. Surveillance footage shows the individuals discarding the remains during the afternoon hours.
Multiple Cases of Illegal Waterfowl Dumping
In addition to the Ponca City incident, wardens are investigating two other cases where waterfowl carcasses were dumped in roadside ditches off main roads.
Game wardens say improper disposal of harvested wildlife violates state regulations designed to prevent waste and protect public health.
Public Asked to Help Identify Suspects
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact wildlife officials. Dumping wildlife remains improperly can result in fines and other penalties.
Officials stress that harvested waterfowl must be properly processed or disposed of according to state law.
