The bidding process starts all over for companies wanting to extend high-speed internet to rural areas in Oklahoma. Broadband Office Executive Director, Mike Sanders says a review has shown some Oklahomans would not have been served by the previous list.
“The challenging geographical areas were not being serviced from our first stab at this…,” Sanders said.
Sanders said this will cost the state around three or four months, but the 2026 deadline for getting everyone online will still be met.
