A quarterback has committed to Oklahoma

Former Washington State quarterback John Mateer announced his commitment to Oklahoma. His decision came after weeks of speculation to reunite with Ben Arbuckle, his offensive coordinator who is the newly hired play caller for OU. A 6-foot-1, 219-pound redshirt sophomore, Mateer was a first-year starter for the Cougars in 2024.
