Watch Out for Bacterial Parasite Spreading in Oklahoma and Texas

The state health department says a bacterial parasite that has been spreading in Texas and other states is now also in Oklahoma.

Cyclospora can be spread by eating unwashed produce or swimming in contaminated water. Health officials are encouraging doctors to begin testing their patients for it. Symptoms may last longer than a week and can include cramping, bloating, and diarrhea.
