Sixth Training Visit to Oklahoma
A group of Ukrainian doctors has arrived at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City for intensive training in trauma, orthopedic, and neurosurgery. It’s the sixth time Ukrainian physicians have trained in Oklahoma since Russia’s invasion began.
Doctors Focused on Battlefield Injuries
The program emphasizes hands-on experience in managing injuries common in war zones—gunshot wounds, shrapnel injuries, and severe trauma. Doctors shadow OU specialists in emergency, operating room, and critical care settings.
Strengthening Global Ties
Hospital leaders say the training not only equips Ukrainian doctors with advanced medical knowledge but also builds long-term partnerships between Oklahoma and Ukraine’s health system.
