UFC Fight Night Sets Paycom Center Revenue Record In Oklahoma City

UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City has officially become the highest-grossing non-Thunder event in Paycom Center history, generating more than $3 million in ticket sales during a sold-out night that showcased Oklahoma City's growing reputation as a destination for major sporting events.

City leaders say the record-breaking event is another sign that Oklahoma City continues attracting nationally televised entertainment and sports while expanding beyond its long-established identity as the home of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City Breaks Paycom Center Record

Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt announced that UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City, held on Friday, July 17, produced the largest live gate ever recorded for a non-NBA event at Paycom Center.

The sold-out crowd generated more than $3 million in ticket revenue, surpassing every previous concert, sporting event and live entertainment show held at the downtown arena outside of Thunder basketball.

The event also marked the Ultimate Fighting Championship's first return to Oklahoma City since June 2017, ending a nearly decade-long absence that many fight fans had hoped would come to an end.

The enthusiastic crowd and strong ticket sales demonstrated that Oklahoma City remains a viable market for major mixed martial arts events.

Dana White Says UFC Plans To Return

Following the success of the event, UFC President and CEO Dana White indicated the organization intends to bring additional events back to Oklahoma City.

The combination of a sold-out arena, strong fan support and record-setting revenue reinforced Oklahoma City's position as one of the UFC's successful regional markets.
