Two Women Steal Designer Purses Worth More Than $7,000 In Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City police are asking for the public's help after two women allegedly stole designer purses worth more than $7,000 from a business near NW Expressway and Meridian Avenue.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, surveillance cameras captured the women inside the store as they waited for the right opportunity to pry open a locked display cabinet before taking the high-end handbags. Investigators say the suspects left the business before officers arrived.
Designer Purses Taken From Locked Display Case
Police say the theft happened after the two women gained access to a locked display containing the designer purses. Surveillance video reportedly shows the suspects waiting until they could open the cabinet and remove the merchandise without immediately drawing attention.
Investigators estimate the stolen handbags are valued at more than $7,000.
After leaving the store, the women were seen getting into what police describe as a newer-model bronze Range Rover with distinctive black rims before driving away.
Surveillance images released by the Oklahoma City Police Department are now being used in hopes someone recognizes either the suspects or the vehicle. https://www.okc.gov/departments/police
