Tulsa Man Arrested After Shooting BB Pellets at Utility Workers
A Tulsa man arrested for shooting BB pellets at utility workers is facing multiple criminal complaints after police say he targeted workers attempting to disconnect electrical service.
Tulsa Police say the incident happened as PSO utility workers were shutting off power at a residence. During the process, workers reported being struck by BB pellets fired from above. Officers identified the suspect as Phillip Smith, who was allegedly shooting at the workers from a nearby rooftop.

According to police, Smith also allegedly stole a ladder belonging to the utility crew before retreating into his home. Officers surrounded the residence and eventually took Smith into custody without further incident.
Authorities say the workers were not seriously injured, but the situation escalated quickly due to the potential danger posed by someone firing projectiles from an elevated position.
Charges Filed Against Tulsa Man
Phillip Smith is now facing complaints including assault with a dangerous weapon and knowingly concealing stolen property. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
Utility companies routinely remind the public that interfering with workers performing official duties can lead to serious criminal charges.
