Tulsa Firefighter Killed in Fiery Crash
The Tulsa Fire Department is mourning the death of one of its firefighters following a five-vehicle collision in Owasso Tuesday evening.
What Witnesses Saw
Police say a speeding pickup truck slammed into cars stopped at a red light, igniting a chain reaction. Witnesses reported hearing a loud boom before a ball of fire engulfed multiple vehicles. Two other people remain in critical condition.
Department Response
Tulsa Fire officials say the department has been “deeply shaken” by the tragedy. Support is being offered to the firefighter’s family and fellow firefighters. The name of the victim will be released once all family members are notified.
