Responding to the call from Floor Leader Jon Echols, the Oklahoma House has voted 72-to-16 to override the governor’s veto of Senate Bill 26-X. That means both tribal compacts have been extended for another year. Echols told his colleagues that state revenue was one of the considerations.
“We are talking about a one-year extension and avoiding everything we can to have serious questions against it because there is no serious reason not to do it,” Echols said.
