Thunder Look To Bounce Back After Double-OT Thriller
The Western Conference Finals opened with an instant classic Monday night as the Spurs stunned Oklahoma City in a dramatic Thunder vs Spurs double-overtime battle at Paycom Center.
San Antonio escaped with a 122-115 victory after surviving multiple Oklahoma City comeback attempts in one of the wildest playoff games of the postseason.
The heartbreaking Thunder vs Spurs loss snapped Oklahoma City’s nine-game playoff winning streak dating back to last year’s NBA Finals run.
Now the Thunder must regroup quickly with Game 2 scheduled for Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.
Thunder Vs Spurs Turned Into Instant Classic
The opening Thunder vs Spurs matchup featured huge performances from both teams’ biggest stars.
Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama dominated the game with a monster stat line of 41 points and 24 rebounds.

Oklahoma City managed to force overtime behind improved defensive pressure and timely scoring late in regulation.
However, the Spurs eventually regained control during the second overtime period behind Wembanyama’s dominance inside the paint.
According to the NBA Game Schedule, the Thunder now trail 1-0 in the Western Conference Finals series.
Game 2 Set For Wednesday Night
The next Thunder vs Spurs battle is scheduled for Wednesday night at Paycom Center.
Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Central Time as Oklahoma City attempts to even the series before heading to San Antonio.
The Thunder are still seeking another trip to the NBA Finals following one of the most dominant postseason starts in franchise history.
According to the NBA playoffs statistics, Oklahoma City had entered Game 1 undefeated this postseason before Tuesday night’s loss.
Fans are expected to pack Paycom Center again as the Thunder attempt to bounce back in Game 2.
