The state treasurer office is handing out money

The state treasurer’s office is handing out money. One point three billion dollars to be exact. That’s the value of unclaimed property claims they are trying to return to the rightful owner. State treasurer Todd Russ says many of the claims are unredeemed life insurance policies or last payroll checks for someone that moved out of college.
