superintendent of Epic Charter Schools resigns

Another major change at Epic Charter Schools. Superintendent Bart Banfield resigns. His resignation comes just a week after the school district announced the layoff of more than 350 teachers and support personnel and the closing of its in-person learning centers. Deputy Superintendent Justin Hunt will now serve as interim superintendent. The school says the changes are all an effort to stabilize its finances.
