Stitt suggests doing away with Forestry Service

Governor Stitt recently suggested doing away with the Oklahoma Forestry Service and its 75-million-dollar budget. He mentioned it might be better to direct 50 million in funds directly to volunteer and rural firefighters. While he contends the former director Mark Goeller could have done a better job. In a prepared statement, Stitt called local and rural firefighters’ heroes.
