The Oklahoma Supreme Court makes it clear, state Health Department Inspectors can enter the Oklahoma County jail for inspections, anytime they want. The Court ruled in favor of the health department in a lawsuit filed by the Jail trust claiming the unannounced inspections were disruptive and had bared inspectors on several occasions. Since the jail trust took over operations 15 years ago, 58 inmates have died in the jail.
