Walters Cancels, Board Pushes Ahead
The Oklahoma State School Board is taking matters into its own hands after Superintendent Ryan Walters canceled this month’s meeting — his third cancellation in less than a year.
Board members announced they will hold a meeting next Wednesday at 10 a.m. without Walters.
Focus of the Meeting
The main agenda item: hiring their own attorney, after growing tensions with Walters over legal disputes and recent controversies — including the so-called “naked women TV scandal.”
The board has also asked Walters to attend, though it is unclear if he will.
