Series of Fires Sweep Across Panhandle

Residents in Shattuck and Gage evacuated their homes yesterday due to a series of wildfires. The smoke was so thick that firefighters were injured in a rollover collision near Gage after they swerved to miss a tanker truck hauling water. Ellis County’s Sheriff Shane Booth says the focus is keeping everyone safe.
