Senate Committee Approves Red Cedar Removal Bill

A Senate committee has approved a bill to provide funding for a program to remove cedar trees. Dan Whitmarsh with the Oklahoma Land office says it is a significant problem with a variety of ways to manage it.

Whitmarsh says the longer the legislature postpones spending money on the problem, the worse it gets. Most of the cedar problem is from I-35 to the west.
