Second Arrest Made in Arcadia Lake Mass Shooting
A second major arrest has now been made in the ongoing Arcadia Lake mass shooting investigation after Edmond Police arrested 20-year-old Trinity K. Brown in Oklahoma City.
According to Edmond Police, Brown was taken into custody Tuesday and initially booked into the Edmond City Jail before being transferred to the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
Investigators say Brown faces felony charges including Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of a Firearm After Juvenile Adjudication.
A judge reportedly set Brown’s bond at $1 million.
The latest arrest marks another major development in the deadly Arcadia Lake mass shooting investigation that left one teenager dead and more than 20 others injured earlier this month.
Arcadia Lake Mass Shooting Investigation Expands
Authorities say court documents tied to Trinity K. Brown remain sealed as the investigation continues.
Specific details involving Brown’s alleged role in the Arcadia Lake mass shooting have not yet been publicly released.
Investigators believe multiple shooters opened fire during the chaotic violence at the Scissortail Campground on May 3.
According to the official Edmond Police Department investigation, at least 80 rounds were fired into the crowd during the shooting.
Police say ballistics evidence recovered from the scene included both 9mm handgun casings and high-caliber rifle ammunition.
First Suspect Faces Murder Charge
Brown’s arrest follows the earlier arrest of 18-year-old Jaylan Ahmad Davis, who investigators identified as a primary aggressor in the Arcadia Lake mass shooting.
Police say Davis later turned himself in after multiple witnesses identified him during the investigation.
Investigators searching Davis’s home reportedly recovered 7.62-caliber rifle ammunition matching evidence found at the lake scene.
Following the death of 18-year-old victim Avianna Marie Smith-Gray, Oklahoma County District Attorney Vicki Behenna upgraded Davis’s charges to First-Degree Felony Murder.
Davis is also currently being held on a $1 million bond.
Police Believe Additional Shooters Were Involved
The deadly Arcadia Lake mass shooting happened during an unpermitted social media gathering known as “Sunday Funday” that drew approximately 100 young people to the lake area.
Investigators say the violence reportedly began as a fight between two women before escalating into gunfire involving alleged rival gang members.
Police have identified Davis as an alleged member of the North Highland Piru gang.
According to News 9, Edmond Police Chief J.D. Younger said investigators strongly believe additional gunmen were involved in the shooting and continue searching for more suspects.
Authorities are urging anyone with cellphone video or information connected to the Arcadia Lake shooting to contact the Edmond Police tip line.
