OSU The Code Calls Campaign Surpasses $1 Billion Toward Historic Goal
The OSU The Code Calls campaign has officially surpassed $1 billion in commitments, reaching the halfway point toward Oklahoma State University's historic $2 billion fundraising goal. University leaders say support from more than 88,000 donors is already expanding student scholarships, research and academic opportunities across the Oklahoma State University system.
The comprehensive campaign is the largest of its kind in OSU history and is designed to invest in student success, academic excellence, research and athletics.
OSU The Code Calls Campaign Reaches Major Fundraising Milestone
The OSU The Code Calls campaign was publicly launched in 2025 with an ambitious goal of raising $2 billion to support the future of Oklahoma State University. OSU previously said the campaign's silent fundraising phase began in July 2021 and is scheduled to continue through 2030.
OSU President Jim Hess said crossing the $1 billion mark reflects the confidence alumni, friends and university partners have placed in Oklahoma State.
"This achievement reflects the trust our supporters have placed in Oklahoma State University and in the future we are building together," Hess said. "Because of their generosity, OSU is better positioned to lead with purpose, serve with impact and prepare the next generation of leaders."
The campaign is built around the Cowboy Code, a set of principles tied to the university's identity and land-grant mission. OSU describes The Code Calls as a campaign focused on transforming lives and strengthening communities through private support.
Scholarships And Student Success Remain At The Center
A major focus of the campaign is creating new donor-funded scholarships and programs designed to help students earn degrees while preparing for their careers.
One of the campaign's signature initiatives is the Horizon Scholars program, which connects incoming students with scholarships, mentors, professional development and leadership opportunities.
Horizon Scholars can receive $7,500 annually for four years, along with support for study abroad and internship or work experiences. The program also creates a connected academic community focused on leadership and career preparation.
OSU Foundation President Blaire Atkinson said donor support is already creating opportunities for students while advancing research and innovation across the university.
"This milestone is a direct result of our donors' leadership, generosity and belief in the power of the Cowboy family," Atkinson said.
The Oklahoma State University Foundation manages private support and philanthropic efforts benefiting OSU.
More Than 88,000 Donors Answer The Call
University leaders say gifts connected to The Code Calls are already strengthening scholarships, academic programs, research initiatives and OSU's land-grant service to communities across Oklahoma.
The campaign's Executive Campaign Board is helping lead the $2 billion effort, which OSU has described as its most ambitious comprehensive campaign ever.
Executive Campaign Board Chair Joe Eastin said reaching $1 billion is both a celebration and a reminder that the university still has significant work ahead.
"The Code Calls has always been about securing Oklahoma State's future, and there is still important work ahead," Eastin said. "As the Cowboy Code promises, we finish what we start."
Atkinson said more than 88,000 donors have now contributed to the campaign's momentum.
With half of the $2 billion goal now committed, Oklahoma State University leaders say the next phase will continue focusing on investments that expand access to higher education and prepare students for life after graduation.
