Oklahoma State Officially Introduces New Head Football Coach Eric Morris
Board Approves Five-Year, $3.8 Million Annual Contract
Oklahoma State University officially introduced Eric Morris as the program’s 25th head football coach after the OSU/A&M Board of Regents approved his five-year contract worth $3.8 million annually.
The announcement marks a new chapter for the Cowboys as they continue adjusting to the rapidly evolving landscape of Big 12 football and the transfer-portal era.
Introduction Held at Alumni Center
Morris’ formal introduction took place at 1:30 p.m. at the OSU Alumni Center in Stillwater. University leaders highlighted his offensive innovation, recruiting success, and player development background.
Coaching Track Record
Before his arrival in Stillwater, Morris served as head coach at North Texas, where he led one of the nation’s most explosive passing offenses. During his career, he helped develop several quarterback prospects, including former OU and NFL standouts.
OSU officials say the hire reflects a commitment to modern offensive football and long-term program stability.
