The survey of 600 likely Republican runoff voters found Drummond and Mazzei tied at 44% when voters who were leaning toward a candidate were included.

Without those leaning voters, Drummond held a narrow two-point advantage, though the race remains well within the poll's margin of error.

Results released by Cole Hargrave Snodgrass & Associates show Mazzei holding a commanding 62% to 22% lead among self-described "Trump Republicans," while Drummond leads 60% to 30% among "Traditional Republicans."

The poll also found Drummond performing better among women and voters living in Oklahoma's metropolitan areas, while Mazzei continues to draw stronger support from men and voters in rural counties.

Candidates Continue Contrasting Campaign Messages

As the runoff campaign enters its final stretch, both candidates continue emphasizing different priorities for Oklahoma.

Mazzei has centered his campaign on eliminating or reducing state income taxes and property taxes, while Drummond has focused on improving education, strengthening health care and continuing the work he began as Oklahoma's attorney general.

Mazzei also enters the runoff with endorsements from President Donald Trump and Gov. Kevin Stitt, endorsements that have become a key part of his closing campaign message.

Republican Runoff Set For Aug. 25
