Okla Could Soon See An Open Primary System

A push to open Oklahoma’s primary system is underway. Oklahoma law allows the Democrat, Republican and Libertarian parties to hold their own closed primary and run-off elections, barring members of other parties from participating. Under the new system, the two candidates receiving the most votes, regardless of party affiliation, move to the general election.
