New Life in Sanctuary Asia
The Oklahoma City Zoo has welcomed a new Francois langur infant, born September 8 in the zoo’s Sanctuary Asia habitat. Proud parents Pam and Ripley are caring for their second offspring, a promising addition to the endangered species population.
Langur Species at Risk
Francois langurs are small, leaf-eating monkeys primarily found in the forests of China and Vietnam. With populations declining in the wild, births in conservation programs like the OKC Zoo are essential to ensuring the species’ survival.
