$5M to OKC NONPROFITS with Bezos Chat GPT

Two OKC Nonprofits Receive $5 Million From Bezos Fund

Two major Oklahoma City nonprofits — City Rescue Mission and City Care — are receiving a combined $5 million from the Bezos Day One Fund, which focuses on ending family homelessness nationwide.

How Funds Will Be Used

Both organizations received $2.5 million each. City Rescue Mission, which currently serves around 260 families, says the funding will allow them to assist 1,000 to 1,200 families over the next five years.

City Care operates low-barrier shelters and affordable housing projects and says the grant will directly support their expansion plans.

A Major Boost for Local Homeless Services

The Bezos Day One Fund has distributed more than $640 million to organizations across the country since its launch — and this investment marks one of the most significant contributions to OKC homelessness programs in recent years.
