An Oklahoma Congressman tells members of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on the Interior that more must be done to address the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women. Tom Cole believes Native American women and girls continue to be disproportionately targeted by predators. He notes Oklahoma is number two on the list of the top 10 states with such missing person cases. Cole adds data collection is still lacking and adds that more awareness and resources should be directed to solve this crisis. Cole is an enrolled member of the Chickasaw Nation.
