Standoff Ends in Arrest

A man is in custody after an arson and burglary targeting a McClain County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Authorities say Austin Garrett Reeves first burglarized the deputy’s home Friday night, then returned later to set fire to the house and vehicles.

Family Escaped Safely from Arson

The deputy and his family were inside at the time but escaped without injury. Reeves was arrested following a standoff in Norman and is now facing burglary and arson charges.
