Heard on Hurd Returns to Downtown Edmond This Weekend

The popular Heard on Hurd street festival is returning to Downtown Edmond this weekend with live music, food trucks, local vendors, and a special celebration honoring military members and first responders.

The May edition of Heard on Hurd will take place Saturday, May 16, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. near the intersection of Broadway and Hurd in Downtown Edmond.

Organizers with Citizens Bank of Edmond say the event will recognize both National Military Appreciation Month and National Police Week during the evening festivities. The monthly block party is expected to once again draw thousands of visitors to Downtown Edmond.

Heard on Hurd Features Live Music and Vendors

This month’s Heard on Hurd lineup will feature performances from Stephen Salewon, Reagon Carter, and Grayson Graham.

Food trucks, retail vendors, artists, and local businesses will line Broadway and surrounding streets throughout the event.

According to Citizens Bank of Edmond, more than 70 vendors are expected to participate during the May festival.

The event has grown into one of Oklahoma’s largest recurring community festivals while highlighting local musicians, small businesses, and food vendors.

Citizens Bank of Edmond Created Heard on Hurd

Officials say Heard on Hurd was originally launched by Citizens Bank of Edmond to help revitalize Downtown Edmond and support local businesses.

Over the years, the event has evolved into a major economic driver for the city.

According to Citizens Bank of Edmond, the festival has generated more than $100 million in economic impact since its creation.

Last season alone included 82 food trucks, 36 performing artists, and more than 100 local retail vendors participating throughout the year.

The award-winning Heard on Hurd festival has become one of Edmond’s most recognizable community traditions.

Military Appreciation and Police Week Highlight Event

Organizers say this month’s Heard on Hurd will place special focus on honoring military members, veterans, and law enforcement officers.

Additional event information for Heard on Hurd is available through Citizens Bank of Edmond event pages and social media platforms.
