Forgivable Loan Granted to Allied Stone in Durant

The city of Durant and Durant Industrial Authority has approved a one-million-dollar forgivable loan for Allied Stone that is contingent on the creation of 100 local jobs.
The plan is to expand it’s current location, in addition to building a 28-million-dollar facility. They say the loan will assist in the creation of 100 new jobs, but Allied Stone said they intend to create at least 150 new jobs.
Allied Stone currently has about 80 manufacturing and retail staff.
