Fear of arrest and deportation is Seen locally

The impact of the Presidents immigration policy is also showing up at protests over that policy. A recent protest in downtown Oklahoma City on a dry cool and sunny day drew a rather small crowd to listen to speeches and show their dislike for the mass deportations. A year ago, a crowd five times larger showed up at the state capitol to oppose the governor’s anti-immigrant bill which is still tied up in the courts. The reason, according to Latino leaders, fear over becoming a target of ICE.
