Search Warrant Served
The Oklahoma Attorney General’s office confirmed that a search warrant was served Thursday at State Representative Ajay Pittman’s office. The search is part of an ongoing investigation into her campaign finances.
Pittman previously reached a settlement with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission, agreeing to pay $35,000 in fines and reimbursements after allegations of financial misconduct.
Renewed Ethics Scrutiny
Earlier this year, a formal complaint accused Pittman of failing to reimburse campaign funds despite the settlement. The Ethics Commission voted to continue its investigation and move toward prosecution.
The AG’s office said the warrant allows investigators to examine electronic and paper records tied to campaign spending. Officials declined to specify what documents were seized.
Political Fallout
Pittman, who represents an Oklahoma City district, has not publicly commented on the warrant. Political analysts say the renewed investigation could complicate her chances for reelection and fuel debate about campaign oversight.
Ethics officials stress that public confidence in state government depends on accountability and transparency — two principles they say are central to this ongoing case.
