The Erik Throne missing case has come to a tragic end after the Muskogee man was found deceased months after his disappearance.
According to the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office, 56-year-old Erik Throne had been missing since December 14, 2025.

Investigators say the Erik Throne missing case began following a single-vehicle crash near Highway 64 and Ross Road in Webbers Falls.
Witnesses reported seeing Throne walking away from the crash scene and into a wooded area.
Authorities say he appeared injured, possibly suffering from a head injury or concussion, but refused help and told others his brother was coming to pick him up.
Search Efforts and Ongoing Investigation
The Erik Throne missing case prompted extensive search efforts led by the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and local emergency response teams, including drone operations throughout January.
Officials confirm Throne’s body was located near a pond in the Webbers Falls area.
The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office is now working to determine the official cause of death.
Authorities have previously stated no foul play is suspected, though injuries from the crash may have contributed to his death.
