As we are entering what is considered to be deer mating season, drivers are advised to pay close attention to their surroundings. AAA Officials say drivers should put down their cell phones so they can stay focused on the road and see approaching deer.
If a driver encounters a deer, experts advise honking their horn with one long blast, as it may frighten the deer away from the road.
